Jim McCormick is the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of AgMarket.Net®, the Farm Division of John Stewart and Associates. With just over three decades in the agricultural industry, Jim has built deep expertise across grains, livestock and energy markets servicing individual and commercial clients throughout the country as a commodity broker.

Jim specializes in designing effective hedging and trading strategies using futures, options, forward contracting and consulting for his clients. His deep understanding of market mechanics (built over more than 30 years) gives his clients the tools and confidence to manage risk and make informed marketing decisions.

The Indiana native and Purdue University graduate, holding a degree in Agricultural Business Management, gained valuable commercial perspective early in his career as a grain merchandiser before transitioning into commodity brokerage. It’s an experience which continues to inform how he approaches the market from both sides of the trade.

A sought-after voice on agricultural markets and economic conditions, Jim has spoken throughout the country for farmers, producers, farm groups, seed companies and journalists. Jim works out of the Barrington, IL office. He and his wife Stacy have two grown children and reside outside of Chicago.
