Sam Trainor

Hedging Strategist

Sam Trainor is a hedging strategist with AgMarket.Net. He was born and raised in Pontiac, IL. Sam attended Joliet Junior College before transferring to Illinois State University to earn a bachelor’s degree in Ag Business. 

Throughout his professional career, Sam has experienced different facets of the agricultural industry. This ranged from parts sales, to agronomy research, to grain marketing. His experience at the local grain elevator grew his understanding of cash grain and the various different options available to the producer for the sale of their grain. Sam was formerly at Advance Trading.

In his free time, Sam likes to spend time with his family. He is an avid deer & turkey hunter and likes to fish as well. When he’s not in the woods or on the water, you may find him at the local golf course playing with family and friends. Sam enjoys watching sports. This includes rooting for the Cubs, Bears, Blackhawks and Notre Dame football.

Sam and his wife (Samantha) have two kids, Langston and Haven and reside in Cornell, IL.
