Maree Johnson joins the AgMarket.Net team with over 14 years of commercial merchandising experience, the most recent being as a Senior Merchandiser for Cargill’s corn milling division.

The first decade of her career was spent working directly with producers (First as an elevator merchant and then as a grain originator for a soybean crush followed by a corn processor).  In these roles, she found her true passion is helping producers develop a grain marketing plan and managing their risk. Therefore, the opportunity to obtain her Series 3 and make the move to the AgMarket.Net team felt like a natural next step.

Maree originally hails from Fort Wayne, IN and obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University while also earning an Associates degree in Agronomy.  She now lives in rural Oskaloosa, Iowa with her husband Chance and daughter Stella.  They spend summers rodeoing as a family around the state and Midwest in team roping, breakaway roping and barrel racing.  In her free time, Maree enjoys volunteering with the local saddle club, Master Gardeners groups and tending her own large vegetable garden.
