Hedging Strategist

Kolten grew up on his family’s hog and grain farm located in Moweaqua, Illinois.  He attended Lake Land College focusing on ag business and agronomy before transferring to the University of Illinois and completing his bachelors in agricultural economics.

The hedging strategist joins the AgMarket.Net team after previously serving as a commercial manager for ADM Milling where he covered the specialty and starch mills. With ADM, Kolten gained exposure and experience with producer and commercial origination. He also has experience trading the southeast rail, gulf export and Illinois corn processing markets.

Because of his upbringing in agriculture and career with end-users, Kolten has developed a passion for helping both producers and commercial entities alike manage their risk.

Kolten enjoys watching all things Illini, Cardinals baseball, LA Rams football and time outdoors. He resides in Macon, Illinois helping on the family farm and raising cattle and forages with his father.
